Over the next few weeks I will be spending a bit of time sorting through photos from my Europe trip. I am beginning with London, not because that came first but because it was the easiest. I didn't carry my camera around too much in London. I was too busy hanging out with best friends and drinking. lots. Exploring, bike riding past Big Ben and outside Buckingham Palace. I really thought I wouldn't like London and I really, really did. A lot. It won't be long before I move there.
I of course had to get a picture with a double Decker bus. Iconic.
Below is one of my best gals, looking beaut outside Buckingham Palace.
I had a bizarre interest with skate parks etc on my travels. There were just always so many throughout Europe and in really public areas. I loved the vibe they brought to the cities. My favorites were in Vienna, man that place is cool. That'll be later.
I haven't done one of these in a while. I guess I got a bit over the blog thing for a while, then I went traveling for 3 months and now I have plenty of free time so I thought I would see how it goes again.
usually my mid week posts have a theme or a degree of connection. This week is not so. Perhaps it is a reflection of my mood, or laziness. Maybe these posts will never have a running connection through them again. One thing I have learned over the past 6 months is that life changes. lots. It is wonderful.
1. The Luminaries
This book is the talk of the town at the moment. Eleanor Catton won the man booker prize for it. I haven't been reading much lately, so this is all old news by now, but a friend recommended it and then I though, what da heck. I'm only a chapter in, but so far the richness of the language is intriguing and I sense a good story is developing.
2. This song. Kelela: Keep it Cool

3. The Hills.
Okay so this one is hard to admit. Yes this week I have been relatively lazy and bored, so I have been watching The Hills.
Oh it takes me back to being 18 again. But mostly I have been watching it because I so miss LA so I watch it and a small part of me feels like I am there. Instead of putting up a link to the show, I'm just going to put up some of my Los Angeles photos, because thats basically what I'm getting at here.
4. Lonely and Opening Ceremony.
NZ label Lonely hearts is now stocking their Lonely lingerie collection at Opening Ceremony in New York. I follow the label on Instagram and obsess over their little pretties. I'm a girl with a bit of an addiction to lingerie. and that is the way it should be.
Okay so I'm three days late in posting this. Wes Anderson is great. You know you'll get something cute and quirky from him that has an essence of the familiar yet you don't seem to expect what will happen next. The girl leaning on the counter, the flick of the flags, the boy with his mouth open his distance stare. It begins and you know it is the direction of Wes, (um yes, first name only, I'm in a cocky mood). I'll leave you to watch it now.
My life consists of a love for all things pretty, flowers,
dresses, crafting things.
My life consists of a love for my family and family
home in Auckland New Zealand. I have a sister with Downs Syndrome, she is
important. I have a sister in law born and raised in the Czech Republic.
My Life consist of a love for travel, I have to do more, I
need to do more.
My life consists of a love for food, I bake and cook for the
people I love, I experiment, I may not be the best but when did that ever
matter? My life consists of a love for walking and exploring and adventures,
seasons and memories and dreams, sometimes I take photos.
It is a thousand half-loves because they are well worth
leaving for to take Your madness home. And although I do not feel it, I hope
for it.(see: MeWithoutYou)
