A thousand half-loves: For half-way through the week

1. George Chamoun.
Basically he combines two photos to show the similarities between old time film stars and modern stars. Makes you go 'huh', they do look verrry similar, don't they'.

2. Natalie Portman for Miss Dior.
I know this is old news but it is still one of my Favorite perfume campaigns ever, so elegant and pretty.

3. New York, I Love You.

Possible one of the best performances I have seen of Natalie Portman, playing an orthodox Jew in New York City.

4. LCD Sound System- New York, I Love You.

Have a good week.

Mann oh Mann

Sally Mann was a photographer I studied at  high school and until recently I had kind of forgotten about her. I was rummaging through some old note books and came across this photo.

-Candy Cigarette (1989)

I remember using this photo as an example for something in photography class, it  was pretty funny standing in the middle of the school drive pretending to smoke a cigarette....ahhh nostalgia.

-One Big Snake (1991)

-untitled, at twelve series (Lanna and her doom) (1983-85)

-untitled, at twelve series (1983-85)

There is something a bit creepy about her style but that's what I love about it. Her photos remind me of endless summers and being a stroppy youth.
