A thousand half-loves: For half way through the week- New Order

I got to see one of my favorite bands of all time this week. New Order. So so happy to have seen these guys live. About 80% of the audience was over 40 and it was so much fun dancing and having a good time with such an energetic crowd. This weeks post is inspired by New Order. Here are a few shots from the show.
1. New Order

2. New Order songs in film
   - Pretty in Pink (Thieves Like Us), American Psycho (True Faith), The History Boys (Blue Monday), Marie Antoinette (Ceremony) and Trainspotting (Temptation).

3. Kirsten Dunst, while we are on the subject of Marie Antoinette here are some incredible photos of the actress that I recently came across.

4. Age of Consent by Arcade Fire

I love love love this New Order song and this is such a beautiful cover of it. Please listen, I know you will like it too.

5. Control
An amazing film about Ian Curtis the talented and complicated singer of Joy Division who at 23 committed suicide. Following his death a new band formed consisting of former Joy Division Guitarist (Bernard Sumner), Bassist (Peter Hook) and drummer (Stephen Morris). This band is New Order.
If you have not seen this film I highly recommend it. Check out the trailer for the film here:

A thousand half-loves: For half way through the week

Here are a few things I am loving today.

1. Cascade braid. Care free and pretty for summer time. Click here for tutorial.

2.  Frances- Bean Cobain. I love her style and the fact that she has Jeff Buckley lyrics tattooed on her arms.

3. My new cherry docs. So kindly gifted to me.

4. Jeff Buckley 'Grace'. The song is extra special to me and has been on my mind all week.

5. Looking forward to the release of  My Week with Marilyn in early March. The biographical film is based on a book by Colin Clark which recounts a week he spent with Monroe while filming The Prince and the Showgirl.  Michelle Williams plays Marilyn...need I say more.

Victoria

Victoria is the new spring/summer 2012 range by Victoria Beckham.

This dress has got to be my fave, the cloud print is so fun and innocent.

This beautiful range feels like being swept back into the 60's, shift dresses, bold colours, elegant and timeless. Victoria thought this collection up during her last pregnancy and perhaps that is why it is so girly and lovely. It is stated that it is Victoria's cheaper range but with most of the dresses priced at over 1000 pounds, it is unfortunately still too unaffordable for me, but one can dream. The range reminds me of Roman Polanski's 1968 thriller Rosemary's Baby,
